The Senior Skills Trainer educates consumers on managing consumer-directed personal care and ensures compliance with program policies and Mass Health regulations. They are responsible for conducting assessments, managing intake documentation, and providing ongoing support to consumers and surrogates.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle for travel, and experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Experience providing services for people with disabilities and knowledge of PCA programs is preferred. Experience or education in teaching or counseling is helpful. Knowledge of community resources and social service systems is beneficial. Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and the ability to navigate databases. Specialized training provided as needed. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred; GED or High School Diploma required.
