The Medical Assistant will escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document information in patient charts. They are also responsible for stocking exam rooms, managing medical supplies, and triaging patient communications.
The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess the ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are required.
Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available inpatients’ medical records prior to their appointment Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) Epic experience is always beneficial Bilingual English/Spanish
We seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely matter with patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. We are looking for a team player that can help out with a smile on their face.
Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
