The Pharmacy Technician II assists pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, and distribution of medications for patient administration. They also support medication history collection, maintain drug inventory, and ensure accurate preparation of both sterile and non-sterile products.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid State of Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license. Prior experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is preferred.
Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program. (Preferred) Work Experience Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting. (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Understanding of metric system and basic math concepts. (Required proficiency) Good communication skills are essential. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of personal computer, calculator, facsimile machine. (Required proficiency) Basic knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing cabinets.
