The staff pharmacist is responsible for daily pharmacy operations, including prescription verification and order management. They also provide drug information to medical staff and oversee pharmacy technicians.
Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and possess an active Illinois Registered Pharmacist license. Successful completion of the National Association Board of Pharmacy examination is required.

Pharmacy Hours: M-F open til 5pm; Sat & Sun open til 3pm
Position is 4 days a week.
This is a full time position working 4 days a week, including a weekend rotation. The ideal candidate must possess an active Pharmacist license, inpatient hospital, clinical, or long term care experience preferred, but not required. The staff pharmacist is responsible for day-to-day pharmacy operations while providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients and IMH team members.

1. Enters prescription through GuardianRx.
2. Verifies all prescriptions and orders in GuardianRx
3. Verifies all hospital orders in Athena.
4. Oversees pharmacy technicians in their job duties.
5. Provides drug information to medical staff.
6. Assists IV admixtures and compounds chemo admixtures
7. Operates pharmacy department within the guidelines set by Illinois State Board of Pharmacy, Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act, Federal DEA regulations and Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
8. Provides consultation to patients.
Required Education and Experience
1. Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy.
2. Passed the National Association Board of Pharmacy examination.
3. State of Illinois Registered Pharmacist license required.
