The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse. They must perform these duties in accordance with established clinical guidelines and standards.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and have completed an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. A BCLS certification and a CMA or NCMA certification are required for this role.
