The nocturnal hospitalist is responsible for responding to ER calls and managing patient admissions during the night shift. They must coordinate care with specialists and ensure a safe transition of follow-up care to the daytime hospitalist team.
Candidates must hold an active Texas medical license and be either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. The role requires the ability to work in-house during the assigned night shifts.
The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospitalist Program provides specialized, efficient and coordinated care for our hospitalized patients. The nocturnal hospitalist observes his or her patient's status, progress and test results up to several times, as needed.
Qualifications: Active Texas medical license
Kelsey-Seybold has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as the nation’s first accredited Accountable Care Organization and a Level 3 (highest) Patient-Centered Medical Home. Kelsey-Seybold has many physicians in the Greater Houston area certified for excellence in diabetes and heart and stroke care by the NCQA. In addition to these recognitions, Kelsey-Seybold is home to a nationally accredited Breast Diagnostic Center, and Endoscopy Center.
