The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for processing instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure patient safety and effective care. They also manage inventory levels, maintain case cart readiness, and support departmental functions to ensure efficient clinical operations.
Candidates must have post-high school vocational training and at least one year of sterile processing experience in an acute care setting. A BLS certification is required, and a CRCST certification is preferred.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our team. The SPT will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of patient care. Your main responsibilities include processing supplies, instruments, and equipment, as well as restocking and maintaining the storage of supplies and the case cart system. Additionally, you will provide support for various departmental functions as required to guarantee the safe, efficient, and prompt delivery of patient care. Your dedication is integral to our commitment to maintaining high standards of care and safety. This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and day shifts. As a successful candidate, you will: Process instruments, supplies and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Maintain an adequate supply of packs and supplies to meet area needs including inventory control, proper labeling and labeling of packages. Have prior experiences in a hospital setting, trauma center, and/or outpatient surgery center (highly preferred) Possess general computer experience (EPIC) and knowledge of instrumentation and sterilization and case cart systems (highly preferred) Manage end-to-end supply and inventory operations, including disposable instruments, stock levels (par management), ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution; ensure proper rotation regulatory compliance, and cost-conscious utilization across departments; assist in tracking equipment inventory and monitoring vendor service agreements/contracts in collaboration with leadership Support safe and efficient patient care delivery by maintaining case cart readiness (preparation, restocking, accuracy), collaborating with clinical teams to anticipate needs, and applying knowledge of instrumentation, sterilization processes, and case cart systems (preferred)
