Perform orthopedic assistant responsibilities and assist the surgeon and circulating RN. Provide orthopedic care under supervision for assigned patients in inpatient units and the Emergency Department.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 6-12 months of experience in a related position. Certification as an Orthopedic Technician is required within 6 months of eligibility.
Perform orthopedic assistant responsibilities; assist the surgeon and the circulating RN. Works under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and the circulating RN. Participates as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources for all internal and external customers. Provides orthopedic care under supervision for assigned patients in inpatient units and in the Emergency Department according to established standards and practices
