The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and documenting clinical data in electronic health records. They also assist providers with treatments, medication administration, and various diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and have graduated from an accredited medical assistant program with a relevant certification. Alternatively, two years of experience in a clinical setting may be substituted for the certification requirement.
