The Physician Assistant assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. They perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile medical data including health history and examination results.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences and possess a valid Louisiana Physician Assistant license. Additionally, 1 year of experience in Cardiothoracic surgery and current BLS and NCCPA certifications are required.
