The Certified Nursing Assistant facilitates a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients and residents under the direct supervision of an RN. They are responsible for maintaining clear communication regarding patient needs and assisting with delegated clinical duties.
Candidates must have completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant and hold an active Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License. Additional requirements include obtaining BLS certification within 30 days and completing specific internal training programs within four months of hire.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient/resident, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient/resident through the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient/resident focused care.

• 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
