Who we are looking for: We are looking for caring, compassionate Direct Support Professionals to work full time in a Residential setting. Requirements Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Successful candidates will: be positive and encouraging with those they support. be professional have patience and a positive attitude have a strong desire to help others enjoy teamwork What does a Direct Support Professional do in a residential setting? Help the people who live there by assisting them in activities, like: Cooking Doing laundry Running errands Teach people with disabilities how to do things on their own Job duties may include: Taking individuals to appointments and activities Writing notes as needed. Helping individuals with tasks like cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, shopping, and managing money Other duties as need Qualifications Other Requirements: A valid NYS license and clean driving record required Ability to lift 50 lbs
