Providers include: 4 OB/GYN Physicians and Physicians, 2 PA-Cs
The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive women’s health care across the lifespan, including preventive care, gynecologic services, and support in obstetric care. This role requires a patient-centered provider who is comfortable managing routine and complex clinical scenarios in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Practices under the standard procedure established for the Physician Assistant role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements.
Conducts age-appropriate, comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examination.
Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.

Provides routine gynecologic are, including annual well-woman exams, PAP smears and breast exams, contraceptive counseling and management, STI and STD screening and treatment.
Assists in obstetric care, including prenatal and postpartum visits, patient education and counseling, monitoring low-risk pregnancies.
Diagnoses and manages common gynecologic conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, Vaginitis and sexually transmitted infections, menopause-related conditions.
Performs in-office procedures, including IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, endometrial biopsies, and performs colposcopies and other procedures provided it is within their scope of practice and training.
Orders, interprets, and follows up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
Prescribes medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative agreement.
Collaborates closely with OB/GYN physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
Provides patient education on preventive health, reproductive health, and treatment plans.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Participates in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Other assigned activities within scope of practice and training as determined by the group, including first assisting in surgical procedures, rounding on postpartum and post-operative patients, patient telephone triage, etc.
Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care.
Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.
Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.
Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
Skills
Strong clinical knowledge of women’s health, gynecology, and obstetrics
Proficiency in performing gynecologic exams and office-based procedures

Education & Experience
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS)
NCCPA Board Certification
1+ years OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred. Will consider Physician Assistants experienced in Family Medicine.
Experience with office-based procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals as well as endometrial biopsy highly preferred.
Must have current unrestricted state Physician Assistant license as issued by state specific board, whether Board of Medicine or Board of Osteopathic Medicine (depending on collaborator), Additional Prescriptive Authority (where applicable), Controlled Substance Registration (where applicable), and DEA, or ability to timely obtain
Compliance with state continuing medical education (CME) requirements for license renewal

Pay range: $90,000-$125,000 USD
The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. However, final offers may fall outside this range based on experience, skill set, experience, location, hours, qualifications and other job-related reasons. This range is for full-time employment.
