The APRN provides direct patient care in various settings, collaborating with physicians to conduct recertification visits and documenting clinical information for the hospice recertification process. Responsibilities also include providing services related to health maintenance, palliative care, and end-of-life care, while collaborating with the hospice team on patient needs and treatment recommendations.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), with a Master’s (APRN) degree preferred, and hold an active APRN license in Arkansas, along with an RN license in Arkansas. A minimum of two years of APRN experience is required, and candidates must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and the ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
The APRN works in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other hospice physicians, provides direct patient care in a variety of settings (i.e., private home, nursing home, hospital, hospice facility). The APRN conducts recertification visits, evaluating for and documenting relevant clinical information to be used by the CMO or other hospice physicians in the hospice recertification process.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN); Master’s (APRN) degree preferred.
Advance Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) licensed in Arkansas; Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Arkansas.
Minimum of two years of Advance Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) experience. Hospice and palliative care experience preferred either as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advance Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN).
Valid Arkansas driver’s license, personal automobile insurance, current TB skin test, ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
