The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care for clients and coordinates care with the health team. They are responsible for organizing nursing care tasks and communicating effectively on behalf of the client.
Candidates must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota and possess BLS certification. One year of Medical/Surgical experience is preferred, and NRP certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota. One year Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
BLS - required, ACLS - preferred but not required, NRP - Must obtain within the first 6 months of hire. Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months. Cross training is required.
Working Conditions Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) lifting of clients and equipment. Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease. Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment. Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
