Summary: As a Floater Behavioral Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health care services to patients as assigned. Assessment and
Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status, including psychosocial, emotional, and behavioral factors. Use evidence-based assessment tools to gather information and develop an understanding of patients' needs.
Treatment
Planning: Collaborate with the patient, their family, and the healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans based on the assessment findings. Incorporate patient goals, preferences, and evidence-based interventions into the plan.
Direct
Patient
Care: Provide direct care to patients, including individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

QualificationsEducation and
Experience: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky. OR current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Current and valid nursing license. Experience working in behavioral health, SUD settings preferred. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and psychotropic medications. Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate collaboratively with patients and colleagues. Strong organizational and time management skills. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients. Knowledge of community resources and referral processes.
