The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. They work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care within the rehabilitation hospital.
Candidates should have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and one to three years of hospital experience. A Certificate of Clinical Competence and BLS certification are required, along with availability to work at least two Sundays per month.
The Speech Language Pathologist must be a specialist in human communications, including normal development and deficits in communication. Work responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of physician referrals for patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, or swallowing. The Speech Language Pathologist must work as a member of an interdisciplinary team with other professionals to provide optimal patient care. QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication preferred. One to three years in a hospital setting. Current BLS certification required within three (3) months of hire. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for the clinical fellowship year. Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Sundays per month).
