The occupational therapist provides direct and indirect care to pediatric patients within the Erlanger Health System. They are responsible for participating in team meetings, discharge planning, and adhering to professional standards and departmental policies.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and possess a Tennessee State Occupational Therapy License. Pediatric training is required, and BLS certification must be maintained.
A licensed occupational therapist of the Children's Therapy Services Department is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients served through the Erlanger Health System.
Education: Required: BS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
Preferred: MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
Experience: Required: Pediatric training
Preferred: 1 year experience in pediatric field
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The employee must participate in team meetings and discharge planning. They must comply with the standards as set down by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics. The employee must comply with standards described in the departmental policies and procedures.
