The Cytology Coordinator manages clerical functions for the Cytology department and serves as the primary liaison between clients, pathologists, and laboratory staff. They are responsible for monitoring specimen lists, coordinating DNA case reporting, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and privacy regulations.
Candidates must possess at least a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of healthcare-related experience. Preference is given to those with postsecondary education and three or more years of relevant experience.
The person in this position coordinates all clerical functions of the Cytology department and serves as the primary contact for clients and other PathGroup departments and facilities, regarding issues related to Cytology specimens and reports.
