The Cytotechnologist is responsible for examining gynecological and non-gynecological glass slides to detect diseased, pre-malignant, and malignant cells. They must maintain departmental logs, perform instrument maintenance, and adhere to strict QA/QC and safety protocols.
Candidates must have at least two years of college education, graduation from an approved School of Cytotechnology, and ASCP certification. One year of experience in slide screening and a Tennessee Cytotechnologist License are preferred.
The person in this position is a Cytotechnologist who is responsible for examining cells on glass slides to detect evidence of diseased conditions and pre-malignant and malignant cells.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Cytotechnologist screening gynecological and non-gynecological slides preferred.
