The Milieu Therapist assists patients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs through therapeutic treatment and crisis intervention. They are responsible for managing treatment activities, including treatment planning and facilitating psychotherapeutic groups for patients and their families.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, mental health, or a related field and possess at least one year of direct clinical experience. Licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is preferred, and the role requires completion of CPI training and current CPR certification.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field required.
One year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting and experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities is required.
