The therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents within a Partial Hospitalization Program using evidence-based practices. They are also responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating discharge planning.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, or psychology. Professional licensure or associate status (AAC/SWAIC) and relevant clinical experience in a psychiatric setting are required.
SUMMARY STATEMENT & PURPOSE The Clinical Therapist specializes in providing mental health treatment to adolescents enrolled in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Responsibilities include conducting psycho‑social assessments, facilitating adolescent‑specific individual and group therapy, providing family engagement and psycho‑education, performing crisis intervention and SUD evaluations, and coordinating discharge planning. Services are delivered using evidence‑based and developmentally appropriate practices to promote emotional regulation, behavioral stabilization, and healthy functioning in adolescents.
A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, psychology, or a related discipline. Must obtain an Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC), or Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (SWAIC). Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Current BLS, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certification, provided by INBH.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Psychologist Preferred three (3) years, post-Master’s experience in a psychiatric health care setting. Active Chemical Dependency Professional/Trainee license.
