The Cath Lab Tech performs direct and indirect functions in the Cardiac Cath Lab, assisting physicians and staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care, including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during all invasive procedures. Responsibilities also include patient assessment, developing individualized plans of care, patient/family teaching, executing X-rays, and managing emergency patient care solutions.
Candidates are required to have an Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent, along with a Basic EKG course, and a minimum of 6 months of experience in a Cath Lab or Cardiac Intervention Lab. A mandatory requirement is holding a BLS certification, with ACLS required within six months of hire.
Performs direct and indirect functions in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Assists all Physicians/staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Scrubs monitors and circulates in all invasive procedures in the Cath lab and IVR. (Invasive/surgical and interventional procedures) inventory control. Able to function on all cardiac alerts and STEMI cases.
Bachelor in Radiology or equivalent.
Preferred: RCIS certification #LI-AL1
