What you’ll do
- As a key member of the surgical team, you will support safe and efficient surgical procedures by:
- Preparing and organizing the operating room for procedures
- Maintaining a sterile field throughout all cases
- Anticipating surgeon needs and passing instruments efficiently
- Performing surgical counts in accordance with policy
- Assisting with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and sterilization processes
- Supporting turnover between cases to maintain workflow efficiency
- Collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and clinical staff
What you bring
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, team-focused professional who thrives in a surgical environment.
Required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification
Preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in an OR or Ambulatory Surgery Center
- BLS certification
- Skills that set you apart
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Ability to anticipate needs and stay steps ahead during cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively
- Work environment & physical requirements
- Fast-paced clinical environment with occasional extended hours
- Prolonged standing and frequent movement throughout the day
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
- Exposure to typical surgical/clinical conditions
