The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to support physicians in a family practice setting. Responsibilities include preparing patients for visits, assisting with medical procedures, and administering medications.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or one year of relevant work experience. Certification as a Medical Assistant and BLS certification are required within 90 days of employment.
Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. In addition to administrative duties, Medical Assistants perform clinical duties in accordance with state law and Clinic requirement.
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Medical Assistant.
