The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, focusing on substance abuse treatment and medication-assisted therapy in both clinical and mobile settings. They will coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, perform screenings, and manage patient treatment plans within an EHR system.
Candidates must hold a valid NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive rights. A DATA 2000 X-waiver and eligibility for Medicaid/Medicare participation are required.
The Nurse Practitioner in coordination with the supervising physician, is primarily responsible for increasing access to substance abuse and medication assisted treatments; coordinating and managing health care services and health education; encouraging health and wellness and disease prevention. The candidate will effectively engage patients; will report to the Medical Doctor for clinical supervision and the Chief Program Officer/Vice President of Behavioral Health Services.
