Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

**Position Available: Nurse Practitioner / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner**

We are actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to enhance a dynamic Neonatology team within a Level III NICU. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced inpatient care to neonates in a collaborative, physician-led setting, ideal for both seasoned professionals and recent graduates.

**Position Overview: **

The Nurse Practitioner / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for

• Delivering comprehensive inpatient management to neonates, including critically ill and premature infants, within a Level III NICU framework.
• Conducting thorough neonatal assessments, performing daily rounds, and overseeing the stabilization and ongoing care of high-risk newborns.
• Engaging in collaborative care planning and management in close partnership with on-staff Neonatologists.
• Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinating care with nursing staff and ancillary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilizing Epic EMR for precise and timely documentation of patient data.
• Providing education and counseling to families regarding neonatal conditions and treatment protocols.
• Adapting to a flexible work schedule, including 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shift patterns.
• Practicing within a structured, team-oriented environment rather than an autonomous setting.
• Adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining compliance with established quality standards.

**Qualifications

• *
• Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (required by start date).
• Successful completion of an accredited NNP program (indicate in the "Additional Submission Details").
• Active Michigan state license.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Availability to work diverse 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, preferably Epic.
• Willingness to undergo a 3–4 month credentialing process.
• Clean malpractice history and active license history.
