Candidates must hold an MD degree, a current medical license, and have completed a residency in Anesthesiology. Board certification or eligibility is required, along with proficiency in thoracic anesthesia and Epic EMR.

As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional anesthesia care for cardiac patients. Your contributions will be paramount in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing various procedures. You'll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals to provide top-tier medical services and enhance patient outcomes.
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgeries Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams to plan anesthetic care Evaluate patient medical histories and perform pre-operative assessments Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any complications Stay updated with advancements in anesthesiology practices Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families
MD degree from an accredited medical school Current medical license to practice in the appropriate state Completion of a residency in Anesthesiology Basic understanding of cardiac anesthesiology principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care Willingness to learn and grow within the specialty
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Bread & butter cardiac cases (CABG, AVR, mitral valves, occasional aortic dissections, and occasional aortic cases)
Must be skilled with thoracic anesthesia
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
