The Registered Nurse coordinates and performs direct patient care while collaborating with physicians to design and implement patient care plans. They also serve as a mentor and leader for the patient care team to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in Nursing or higher and possess a current Illinois RN license. Additionally, an active American Heart Association BLS certification is required for this role.

With the leadership of the Manager, the Registered Nurse functions as an interactive resource in clinical nursing and professional practice. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordinating of and performing direct nursing care for patients, utilizing concepts of the nursing process, serves as resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, professional peers and other fellow employees, and provides participative supervision to the Patient Care Team Members in collaboration with the Patient Manager.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
