The Advanced Practice Provider will manage a caseload of patients in the Short Stay Unit, performing comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and initiating medical treatments. They will also provide clinical support, patient education, and participate in research and administrative activities under leadership direction.
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or an accredited Physician Assistant program, along with current Illinois licensure and DEA prescribing authority. A minimum of 2 years of inpatient, general, or hospital medicine experience is required, along with relevant certifications such as AGACNP, BLS, and ACLS.

As the Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management in the general medicine patient population. The APP will manage a caseload of patients and exercise autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments. Additionally, you will provide healthcare and patient services that may include educational, research, and clinical nursing specialist support, and completing administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Director/leadership.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
