The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing competent direct patient care and supporting unit activities within the ambulatory surgical center. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care across various surgical specialties.
The role requires a Registered Nurse with a preference for 12 months of experience in surgical, procedural, preoperative, or postoperative care. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain efficiency, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. Full-time 40 hrs. ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Breast Oncology, Gastrointestinal (GI), and Urology. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Cross-train to the Procedural GI area and Pre/Post areas. Requires 12 months of RN experience preferred, especially in surgical or procedural care, preoperative and postoperative care.
