Clinical Veterinarian (Preclinical Research) Make a direct impact on animal welfare and scientific advancement

We’re looking for a Clinical Veterinarian who is passionate about animal health, high-quality care, and supporting cutting-edge preclinical research. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Attending Veterinarian and senior leadership to ensure our animal care program operates at the highest standards of welfare, compliance, and scientific integrity. What You’ll Do Conduct routine veterinary rounds, providing clinical care and preventive medicine while ensuring accurate and consistent documentation Partner with Operations and senior staff to ensure all animal care activities meet USDA regulations, company policies, and SOPs Serve as a trusted advisor on animal health and welfare, including anesthesia, analgesia, disease prevention, and humane care practices Perform physical exams and health assessments, including specialized procedures such as TB testing in non-human primates Collaborate with the Attending Veterinarian and IACUC to support protocol review, program oversight, and regulatory compliance Contribute to training, coaching, and guidance for animal care staff to ensure best practices across the program Provide surgical and anesthesia support as needed Participate in emergency, weekend, and holiday coverage as part of a shared rotation Why This Role Matters You won’t just be providing care—you’ll be shaping and influencing a comprehensive animal care program. Your expertise will directly impact: Animal welfare and ethical standards Research quality and reliability Team development and training Regulatory compliance and program excellence What We’re Looking For DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school At least 2 years of experience in laboratory animal medicine or a related field Active (or eligible) veterinary license in Massachusetts Strong clinical judgment with the ability to make independent decisions in complex or urgent situations Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams A team-oriented mindset with the ability to also work independently What Sets You Apart Experience in a research or preclinical environment Familiarity with IACUC processes and regulatory frameworks A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Passion for mentoring and developing others We have great benefits too!
