The Neurodiagnostic Specialist performs routine and long-term EEG monitoring, including patient preparation and the analysis of complex neurodiagnostic data. They are responsible for drafting preliminary reports, managing EEG data, and assisting physicians with specialized procedures in the operating room and radiology suite.
Candidates must have at least four years of experience in neurodiagnostic procedures and hold EEG.T. or equivalent certification. Proficiency in the International 10-20 and 10-10 systems, along with BLS certification and completion of ASET LTM 100, is required.
Graduated from an END [Electro neurodiagnostic] or ASET on-line EEG 12 module course completion certification Must pass ASET competency skills and knowledge required by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) for national board certification CPR certified in basic cardiac life support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 90 days of hire Must obtain ABRET R.EEG.T credentials within two (2) years of hire Must be proficient with the International 10-20 System
