The CT Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality computed tomography images following established guidelines. They must manage their time effectively to meet productivity standards while ensuring a high-quality patient care experience.
Candidates must be graduates of a radiographer program and hold current licensure in Medical Radiation from the state of Mississippi. Additionally, registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology is required.
Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality computed tomography (CT scans) images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.
Graduate of a radiographer program.
Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology required.
Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne/airborne disease; contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances; exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, chemicals and illness); subject to varying and unpredictable situations; able to handle emergency, crisis or pressured situations; subject to multiple interruptions; occasionally subject to extended or irregular hours; requires judgment/actions that impact patient outcomes.
