The Music Therapist will provide professional music therapy sessions to hospice patients, including assessment, planning, and active musical engagement. They will also collaborate with field staff and facility partners to educate them on music therapy and support patient well-being.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree and a current Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential. Additionally, at least six months of experience in geriatric and end-of-life healthcare settings is required.

What you’ll do in this role: Provide consistent professional music therapy in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practices Effectively inform and educate our patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapy Establish therapy objectives as part of the patient assessment Plan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and to aid in the planning of subsequent sessions Take an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listening Encourage patients to take part in the session and support them by responding musically and improvising with music as a reaction to what the client is communicating to give comfort during the last stages of life Support the patient's creative development and facilitate positive changes in their behavior and well-being We are looking for compassionate Hospice Music Therapist with: Bachelor of Music Therapy degree Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S.
