The phlebotomist is responsible for identifying patients and performing venipuncture to collect blood specimens. They must ensure proper labeling of specimens and adhere to strict antiseptic techniques for patient safety.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a certification from an approved nursing assistant or equivalent program. A valid driver's license is required, and one year of experience is preferred.
