Provide crisis intervention services including telephone, walk-in, and mobile assessments to support individuals in the community. Facilitate conflict resolution and link clients to necessary mental health and drug and alcohol services.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience in mental health direct care. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and successfully pass Act 33/34 and FBI background clearances.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. With major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field AND one year experience in mental health field required. Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. QualificationsPosition Qualifications: Required: Preferred: Education: Must have a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling, Education or a related field. (Degree/course work is Sociology, Social Work, Human Development and Psychology are strongly preferred) or Be a registered nurse or Have a High School diploma or equivalency AND 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Gerontology or other Social Science AND 2 years of experience in public or private human services with 1 year of mental health direct care experience (Associates degree with minimum of 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology and Human Development is strongly preferred) (2 years of direct mental health experience is strongly preferred) Experience: One year experience in Crisis Services or in the mental health field preferred with a bachelors degree. Car Insurance Coverage Verification. Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, computer literate, knowledge of 302/201 process, and knowledge of PA resources.
