About the Role

• The Life Enrichment Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in care settings by facilitating engaging and meaningful activities tailored to their interests and abilities.
• This position focuses on promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being through creative programming and personalized support.
• The Life Enrichment Assistant collaborates closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to assess needs and preferences, ensuring activities are inclusive and accessible.
• By fostering a positive and supportive environment, the assistant helps individuals maintain independence and a sense of purpose.
• Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the holistic care approach, enriching daily experiences and improving overall satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with elderly, disabled, or special needs populations in a care or community setting.
• Basic knowledge of recreational therapy principles or life enrichment programming.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in recreational therapy, life enrichment, or related field.
