This position primarily serves as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), providing direct support to the provider and ensuring high-quality patient care. The role may also include Referral Specialist responsibilities when the provider is not in the office to help maintain smooth clinic operations.

• You’ll Do: Triage and prepare patients for medical examinationsAdminister medications, perform lab testing, and assist with proceduresMaintain clean and well-stocked treatment areasAssist with referrals, preauthorizations, and scheduling when neededAdhere to all HCHD safety, security, and compliance standards Support nursing and front office staff as required Communicate professionally with patients and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance Educate and counsel patients on treatments, medications, and testing Record and update patient history, medications, and vital signs in the
• EMR
• Qualifications:
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Current CMA certification Current LVN license
• Current
• BLS certification
• Valid
• Texas driver’s license
• Preferred: 1+ year clinical experience Experience with billing, coding, or insurance preauthorization Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or other

• Abilities: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Excellent customer service and teamwork Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
