The Clinical Psychologist will conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for diverse patient populations. They will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated care and contribute to the growth of behavioral health services at the new clinic.
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology and possess or be eligible for a Georgia state license. Experience in providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments is required, with preference given to those with experience in integrated behavioral health settings.
Wellstar Health System is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Clinical Psychologist to join our brand-new North Cobb Clinic location. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish behavioral health services in a modern outpatient setting while making a meaningful impact on the mental and emotional well-being of the community. The Clinical Psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and/or families depending on specialty area. The ideal candidate is collaborative, innovative, and passionate about integrated care within a growing healthcare system. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Provide individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy as appropriate. Collaborate closely with primary care providers, psychiatrists, care managers, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. Participate in care coordination, case consultation, and quality improvement initiatives. Support the launch and growth of behavioral health programming within the new clinic. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and wellness practices. Qualifications Required Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure or license eligibility as a Psychologist in the State of Georgia. Experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Experience in integrated behavioral health or outpatient medical settings. Specialization in anxiety, depression, trauma, health psychology, or family systems.
