The Physical Therapist is responsible for planning, assessing, and implementing treatment programs for inpatient and outpatient populations. They must effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team while adhering to professional standards and ethics.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and possess an active or temporary Connecticut Physical Therapist license. CPR certification is required, and experience in an outpatient or vestibular rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Description A clinically competent Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for planning, assessing, interpreting and implementing treatment programs according to the need of age specific categories of patients and as medically prescribed for our inpatient and/or outpatient patients. Effectively interacts and communicates with patients, families, and other health team members, according to the principles, ethics, practices and standards of professional therapy practice.
Minimum Requirements Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. CT Physical Therapist (PT) active or temporary license. CPR certification. Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred. Vestibular rehab experience is preferred.
Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately. Ability to prioritize daily work assignments.
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Proficient skills in windows based software (including word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation programs).
Working knowledge of Sate Practice Act and Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
Problem Solving and Decision Making Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction. Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information from various sources. Able to take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
