The Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist is responsible for the safe setup and operation of the cardiopulmonary bypass machine and related cardiovascular equipment. They work under the supervision of the Chief Perfusionist to support cardiac surgery and operative procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or a comparable training program. A minimum of 50 cases of adult and pediatric perfusion experience is required.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist. The Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist, under the supervision of the Chief Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist or authorized designee, is responsible for the setup of and the safe operation of the cardiopulmonary bypass machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, autologous blood collection machine and associated equipment, as needed, during cardiac surgery or related cardiovascular operative procedures.
Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or comparable training program. Certified or certification eligible cardiopulmonary perfusionist preferred.
Minimum of 50 plus cases of performing both adult and pediatric perfusion.
Ability to organize and coordinate related activities of the open heart surgery program. Technical proficiency in the use of all necessary equipment.
