The Patient Care Technician collaborates with licensed nurses to provide safe, compassionate care and assist with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include recording patient data, obtaining vital signs, collecting lab specimens, and performing advanced unit-based competencies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid CNA or PCT certification, or be a senior nursing student. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and 5 years of experience in acute or long-term care is preferred.
