The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating safe patient care delivery for diverse patient populations under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager. This includes assessing patient/family needs, developing goals, evaluating care, and continually revising the plan of care to meet biological, emotional, and educational needs.
Candidates must possess current Kansas RN Licensure or obtain it by August 2026, and must obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire before providing direct patient care. Additional certifications like ACLS may be required depending on the unit, and a 2-Year Degree is required, with preferred qualifications including a 4-Year Degree and recent healthcare experience.
The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for the coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations. The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family. The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes. The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
