The Patient Care Assistant performs clinical support activities including patient transport, vital sign collection, and specimen handling under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They are also responsible for maintaining patient safety through one-to-one monitoring and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and maintain current CPR certification. Preference is given to individuals with STNA, NA, or MA licensure and the ability to perform ECG testing.

Under assessment and supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical /clinical procedures in the patient care area.
***Please note, nursing students who are hired into a patient support role and successfully complete their introductory period may apply for a promotion to Patient Care Assistant-Student Nurse.
