The Recovery Specialist provides education and support to families in a residential setting to help them maintain recovery and succeed in parenting. Responsibilities include mediating resident concerns, coordinating with community organizations, and monitoring client safety through room checks and substance screening.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with an associate's degree or higher preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the substance use or mental health field. Applicants must possess strong communication skills, the ability to work with computers, and a reliable vehicle for the required background checks.
Grace House is a residential recovery home located in Northampton, MA. Grace House is designed to serve 12 mothers and up to 20 children. The identified population is families at serious risk of decompensation and long-term homelessness due to parental Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This population includes women who have custody or will have physical custody of at least one child within 60 days of admission and/or women who are pregnant.
Self-motivated, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to be flexible, willingness to learn, familiar with person centered/trauma informed approach, able to navigate crisis situations effectively, demonstrates integrity, empathetic, task oriented, team player, sense of humor.
Pay rate is $20.00/hr. and includes phenomenal benefits like, Dental, Health and Life insurance. Paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.
Full time 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm.
Ability to attend mandatory daytime staff meetings and in-person trainings required.
