The Infection Preventionist conducts surveillance, outbreak investigations, and ensures regulatory compliance for infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs. They are also responsible for developing policies, educating staff and families, and participating in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Candidates must have primary training in nursing, medical technology, microbiology, or epidemiology, with a preference for an RN with infection prevention experience. The role requires the physical ability to perform patient care tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting with patient transfers.
Infection Prevention and Control (IPCP), Antibiotic Stewardship (ASP), and Restorative Nursing programs; provides education, surveillance, outbreak investigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Primary training in nursing/medical technology/microbiology/epidemiology; RN preferred with IP experience.
• 1+ year RN with infection prevention/control experience.
