The ED Crisis Psych Tech performs direct patient care services and assists care providers under the direction of a registered nurse. They are responsible for documenting patient care, performing decentralized laboratory tests, and monitoring changes in patient conditions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a degree or certification in psychology or one year of experience in a mental health setting. Applicants must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT, or a graduate from an accredited nursing program pending licensure.
