The Behavioral Counseling Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling for patients ranging from preschool to adolescent age. They work as an active member of the treatment team under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and experience in behavioral health or a related field, with experience with children preferred. Applicants are required to maintain a valid driver's license and complete CPR and Crisis Intervention Training.
The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
