The caregiver provides physical and emotional support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities like bathing, grooming, and meal preparation. They also offer companionship and help with household tasks, errands, and medication reminders.
Candidates should have experience caring for seniors or disabled adults and must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. A high school diploma is preferred, and applicants must possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Visiting Angels is looking for Caregivers to join our team. The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.
Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medication reminders. Prepare meals, and provide personal assistance with general living needs. Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming. Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.
High school diploma preferred. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time Experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally. Reliability and Professionalism are very important. MUST enjoy assisting in the needs of others. Valid driver's license and car insurance. Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
